OWNERS NOTE : Topsy was born and bred to be a race horse. She had stupendous racing start from ages 2 to 4. She was then retired to breed but sold instead. She passed hands a few times, and eventually landed in the hands of a man who knew nothing of breeding, and even less of racing. After many failed starts to poor training and care, she was eventually rescued from an abandoned fenced in basket ball court with a foal at her side. She was so malnourished that she wasn't able to feed the foal, and he just never recovered. Three years later and she has filled out nicely, and started to act like her old self. We have had her screened by the vet, and she's safe to carry a foal, but we have not decided if we will add her to the Cheshire Farms Stock Horse Racing program. Her bloodlines however are amazing, having both some of the strongest APHA, AQHA, and JC racing lines.
