Bailarina de Cabaret

The announcers voice boomed over the loud speaker as CF Fox Trot began to walk the outside of the ring. Her loud color overshot her flashy foot work as she picked up into a trot, entering the ring and stopping mid-center to salute.

The crowd mumbles to silence, and Fox Trot starts off with a smooth and quick transition from trot to canter. She didn't waist any time, opening with a series of time flying lead changes, her foot falls landing parallel to the music. Starting off with four-tempis, then three, and two, and finally one-tempis; ironically a skill her sire was known for having mastered.

She transitioned smoothly back into a passage where she preformed that powerful two beat motion at a series of various tempos, every now and then kicking up and extending those front legs.

Slowing it down for a moment into a walk, she allowed the judges to see how her body moved with elegance and flash at the simplest of paces.

Bouncing momentarily with eagerness, she picked up into a passage once more. Her rider had to laugh, even tho she knew it would cost them points. The rider collected Fox Trot to the music and preformed a piaffe. Towards the end there were a few moments of suspension where it looked like she was a statue posing on two legs before switching them out. It flowed easily into a forward motion as she preformed a strong Spanish Walk, striking out to the beat.

When the beat picked up, so did the filly, and that Spanish walk became faster, kicking up into an extended trot. Fox Trot came flying down the center of the arena, and stopped as quickly as if she were a reining horse. The filly tucked her hind under her and gave a rear. Her forelegs were folded evenly and with the last beat of the song, she landed planting them straight down with a happy head bob for emphasis.
